One of the best things about living in California is being able to photograph California Golden Poppies, the state flower. I found these on the grounds of the San Juan Capistrano mission.
I also found this sculpture of Fr. Serra comforting an Indian. For you photo detail types both of these photos were captured using my ancient 6 year old Nikon D100 with the 16 year old Nikkor AF 35-70 f/2.8D zoom lens attached.This is one of the famous El Camino Real Bells.
