Dogpatch
While exploring a closet I found this toy from my childhood. I even have the original box too but it's in pretty rough shape. Little Abner's Dogpatch Band was made by the Unique Toy Company in Newark, NJ circa 1946-1953. I've seen them listed on EBay for half a grand. I found the drumstick missing from Pappy's right hand since this picture was taken.

I participated in the 3rd annual World Wide Photo Walk today. Walked around SJC taking pictures with 40 + other photo nerds. Here are some examples so far. . .

June Gloom
June gloom in July. The gray mass you see in the background is the Pacific Ocean. It will return, someday.

New Glasses
I'm not sure why but today at the grocery store for the first time ever I was asked if I needed help getting the stuff to the car. My purchase consisted of 1 package of English muffins, 1 package of fudgecicles, and a bottle of liquid dish washing soap. I recently got new glasses, that must be the reason for the clerks concern.

Milestone
Recently the Hoe celebrated it's Tenth Anniversary of rolling off the GM assembly line in Janesville, WI. With 128K on the odometer it has for the most part been a faithful servant. The Janesville plant closed soon after it was built and production was moved to Texas. I should have waited a year.
