Goose Meet Up in Merced
The Sunday after Thanksgiving we took a 80 mile drive to the Merced National Wildlife Refuge to see if we could shoot any wildlife with our cameras. It was somewhat of a success. We saw quite a few raptors, many coots, and a very large flock of geese and a sizable number of healthy looking cattle. It was a cold overcast day and we weren't able to get as close to the birds as we would have liked to. On a positive note traffic was light, and the company was amiable. It was a very pleasant diversion after a busy holiday.
